When The Gods All Come Out To Play

You can see, as a gift,
And you’ll know it’s no myth

When the Gods they all come out to play

The ground it will shake,
And the rocks they will break
And it’s best you get out of the way

When the Gods they all come out to play

You can see them up high
Like arrows they fly
Leaving trails of fire in the sky

If you think you should pray
You can try but I’d say
It’s best you get out of the way

When the Gods they all come out to play

We’re playing in Eden again
The way it’s always been
Where here for all of time
It’s yours and it’s mine

You can see in my eyes it’s true
I would open the skies for you
To the earth and the hills and the plains
Let it rain

And you know how good it feels
When all that you dream could be real
And you know how sweet of a deal
We’ve sealed

And you’ll know it’s your fate
When they come in the shapes
Of lions and tigers and bears

There’ll be nowhere to hide
As we’re all swept aside
And you think that it’s all so unfair
But the Gods they really don’t care

We’re playing in Eden again……

And you know it’s your fate
When they come in the shapes
Of lions and tigers and bears

There’ll be no where to hide
As we’re all swept aside
And you think thats it’s all so unfair

But the Gods they really don’t care

The Gods they really don’t care

No the Gods they really don’t care

You can see, as a gift,
And you’ll know it’s no myth

When the Gods they all come out to play

Beautiful contrast of melodies and vocals.

Beautiful, evocative music and poetic lyrics, beautifully executed, gorgeous guitar, and again, have to agree with previous comment – love the contrast in voices, another beautiful creation! Reminds me of a whimsical, almost forgotten time … this song reminds you that those whims still exist.

    Love this line …

“… And you know it’s your fate
When they come in the shapes
Of lions and tigers and bears …”

Can I use it as a quote in my memoir?
