I thought Stephen Harper appeared quite shaken at the prospect of losing control of government to a Liberal/NDP coalition during his press conference this evening. Harper’s manner suggests this almost fantastical idea of defeating his minority government is a very, very real possibility.
Incredible.

As conditions worsen in the financial world, Canada’s weak kneed Harper minority government speak of selling off assets that belong to all the Canadian people. As a standard right wing tactic, selling the peoples property to friends and associates at rock bottom prices in return for influence and places at boardroom tables has long been a favourite of those who seek personal gain under the guise of “what’s best for the little people”.
How these wing nuts can justify selling off money-making assets at fire sale prices will always amaze me.
This NEVER turns out to be a good deal for the citizens.
Add in right wing ideologues operating our government with an incremental and hidden agenda and suddenly the previously preposterous idea of a Liberal/NDP/Bloc coalition sounds interesting.

I’m beginning to wonder if America ever actually existed or has it always been nothing more than a scam to protect the moneyed elite from their own stupidity and greed by using the poor American Citizen as a piggy bank while hustling their children off to wars of choice to fall as meaningless cannon fodder?
I am unable to comprehend what we are witnessing.
This does not look like America.

Loon Theory would like to wish all Americans well on this great day. We also hope that America will begin to turn away from the last eight years and all that those years represent by electing Barack Obama as President.
Change, courage and hope over fear.
